Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel shown clear January transfer priority after thrashing Norwich

After Saturday's comprehensive win over Norwich City, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel will be desperate to keep Antonio Rudiger ahead of the January transfer market. The Blues scored seven goals through five different scorers to upset the unfortunate Canaries, who remained at the bottom of the Premier League table as a result of their humiliating defeat.

The disparity in class between the European champions and Norwich could not have been greater, with the hosts rioting from the start. They went into halftime with a 3-0 advantage thanks to goals from Mason Mount, Callum Hudson-Odoi, and Reece James, and they didn't let up after that.

After an hour, the Blues were five goals up thanks to Ben Chilwell's score and an own goal from Max Aarons, before Mount completed his maiden Chelsea hat-trick with two late strikes to round off a flawless afternoon for the European champions.

Tuchel's team never looked like surrendering against Norwich, who had only one attempt on target throughout the game. Despite the fact that Chelsea's back three did not have much to do, Rudiger impressed both in and out of possession.
