Chelsea's terrifying XI if Hazard returns as Real Madrid open door to transfer exit

If Eden Hazard makes a fantastic return to Stamford Bridge, Chelsea might have a dangerous starting lineup. Hazard's big-money move to Real Madrid has been a failure, as the Belgian has been plagued by injuries and has only made four appearances in La Liga this season. Hazard was put on the bench for the Clasico win over Barcelona despite being fully healthy, and his goalless draw with Osasuna on Wednesday was his fourth consecutive game without starting.

According to reports in the Spanish press, Madrid is willing to negotiate for the winger, who has two years left on his contract at the end of the season.  Chelsea, where he had so much success before his disastrous transfer, would surely be one of the key frontrunners to recruit him. And if the Blues do make a play for their former star, Thomas Tuchel will have a fantastic starting lineup to work with next season.

Edouard Mendy would start in goal, having established himself as one of the top keepers in the Premier League this season, surrendering just three league goals. Cesar Azpilicueta has established himself as a reliable alternative in Tuchel's three-man defence, providing leadership to a unit that will likely lose Thiago Silva at the end of the season.
