Everton's Townsend revealed why he copied Ronaldo's Celebration after he scored against Man United

The Everton's professional winger, Townsend has revealed the reason why he celebrated like Cristiano Ronaldo, after he scored an equalizer goal against Man United.

The winger scored, a snicking goal against Man United in the 65th minute of the game on Saturday.

United teammates were so impressed with Anthony Martial's performance in the game, after he scored a tremendous goal to gift Man United a lead against Everton in the first half of the game.

However, Townsend made it 1-1, as both teams shared one point each.

Townsend Reason For Celebrating Like Ronaldo:

During the interview, He said: “It’s just a mark of respect to a guy who influenced my career.

“I spent many hours on the training pitch and in the video room trying to analyze his free-kicks and his stepovers and the way he dedicated himself to football.

“So it wasn’t an imitation it was a mark of respect to one of my idols. I probably didn’t do the celebration justice and didn’t execute it properly.”

Cristiano Ronaldo, came in, in the second half of the game, but couldn't take a come back win.

Bruno Fernandes, after the Match, slammed his teammates, saying: “Its not Enough”.
