Real Madrid closely monitoring Chelsea's midfielder
Real Madrid is apparently keeping tabs on Mason Mount's improvement, but it may be difficult to persuade Chelsea to sell the 22-year-old.
Mason Mount is reportedly being courted by Real Madrid for a future transfer window, according to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes. Chelsea, on the other hand, are adamant about keeping the 22-year-old midfielder, who is fast becoming their talisman.
Mason Mount has been a Chelsea player since 2005, when he was eight years old and joined the club's illustrious academy. And throughout his time with the Blues' junior system, he was widely considered as one of the brightest young players to have ever come out of the club's academy. And he hasn't looked back since making his major breakthrough at the start of the 2019/20 season.
Mount immediately established himself as a major role under Frank Lampard, and he has continued to improve even after Thomas Tuchel's appointment. To date, the 22-year-old has made 118 appearances for Chelsea, scoring 20 goals and providing 17 assists. His achievements have not gone unnoticed.
