TRANSFER NEWS: CHELSEA IN CONTACT WITH MATTHIJS DE LIGT

Chelsea are apparently in frequent contact with Mino Raiola about a possible transfer for Matthijs de Ligt, who Juventus values at €100 million. Chelsea appear to be speeding up their efforts to recruit Matthijs de Ligt, who is regarded as Antonio Rudiger's long-term replacement, according to reputed Italian writer Rudy Galetti. Juventus values the Dutch international at €100 million and is willing to sell him.

Matthijs de Ligt joined Juventus in the summer of 2019 after a successful career with his boyhood club Ajax, where he was even captain for a while before leaving. The move to the Allianz Stadium, however, has not gone as planned for the 22-year-old, who has produced numerous solid displays but has yet to establish himself as a reliable first-choice option.

De Ligt has appeared in 85 games with the Bianconeri, scoring six goals and providing two assists. However, new rumours claim that the Dutch international is dissatisfied at Juventus and may leave in the summer. The Serie A giants are also considering a summer sale.
