After thrashing Norwich City 7-0, Chelsea have given themselves the ultimate confidence boost ahead of tomorrow night's Carabao Cup encounter with Southampton.


The Saints head to Stamford Bridge in the round of 16 with Thomas Tuchel hoping to add to his trophy cabinet.


Both Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner were unavailable for the Canaries' match after limping out in the first half of Wednesday's win against Malmo.


Their absence, on the plus side, had minimal effect on the Blues' performance. Thomas Tuchel, on the other hand, is dealing with a few injury concerns ahead of a demanding week.
