Breaking: Erik ten Hag names Manchester United's captains ahead of Southampton's clash
Man United's Manager, Erik ten Hag has named the players who would be wearing the Captain's armband at the club.
Following his pre-match press conference on Friday, had stated clearly that in the absence of Harry Maguire in a game, Bruno Fernandes would wear the captain armband amidst their 2-1 win against Liverpool.
Before the Premier League match against Southampton on Friday, Ten Hag addressed the media and discussed the club captaincy.
Following his recent bad performances, the Dutchman has been urged to remove Maguire as captain.
Some previous athletes and commentators have urged Fernandes to be made captain.
Hag remarked, "We have a leadership group, and Harry and Bruno are among them. Bruno performed admirably as captain.
Speaking on the Captaincy issues, He said:
“We have a leadership group and Harry is one of them, Bruno is one of them. Bruno did quite well as captain.
“He led by example and he brings so much energy to the team in and out of possession.”
However, The Red Devil's would be looking forward to continue in the same winning spirit, like that which was shown against Liverpool in their 2-1 victory at Old Trafford.
